Creating a simple welcome message

1. Click "Flows"

2. Click "Add"

3. Type a flow name and click "Continue"

4. Click here on the node block.

5. Click + Add content to view the different options

6. Click "Text"

7. Type your welcome message such as "Welcome [[first name]] How can I help you today?"

8. Once your message is complete click "Publish" to put it live.

9. Click the menu back button < in the top left corner. Now that we have created a welcome flow, we need set this as the welcome message on the channels (Web Chat, Messenger, Instagram, etc.). In this demo we'll need to create a new web chat before we set the welcome message.

10. Click "Settings"

11. Click "Channels"

12. Click "Web Chatbot"

13. Click "Manage"

14. Click "Add"

15. Type a name for your web chatbot and click "Continue"

16. On the newly created web chatbot, you will now see an option to specify your welcome message, we'll select the flow "Welcome" we just created. The welcome message is automatically sent when the user opens your webchat.

17. Click "Save"
